Crown Valley Brewing Imperial Pumpkin Smash

It's that time of year where everything is pumpkin especially the beers. I have probably said this before, but there are several different styles of pumpkin beers on there. I think the world get a little carried away with pumpkin things this time of yeah, but I actually like most pumpkin beer. One in particular that I’ve hear about is Crown Valley Brewing (Ste. Genevieve, Missoiur) Imperial Pumpkin Smash, 10.6% ABV and 48 IBU, is not a typical pumpkin beer, no it is an imperial stout brewed with pumpkin and spices. Imperial Pumpkin Smash pours a dark black color with a tan foamy three finger head, with brown edges. I found no light or carbonation bubbles. This beer is very black! The aroma on this Imperial Pumpkin Smash is very strong with sweet pumpkin and spices such as cinnamon and some allspice. I also found some bit of a roasted scent there as well. Imperial Pumpkin Smash is a wonderful smelling beer. The taste is just as good as the aroma, I god big pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices with some chocolate and toffee along with a roasted note. The taste has a nice sweetness about it that keeps the bitterness down and really helps to bring out more of the spices and the pumpkin. Imperial Pumpkin Smash has a nice full mouth feel, with a nice sweet pumpkin spiced finish and a sweet chocolate toffee and spiced after taste that really caps off the entire beer very well. This is a very tasty beer; it’s definitely an A+. Everything about this beer really works well and doesn’t clash or overpower some of the other flavors in this big stout. I highly recommend Crown Valley Brewing Imperial Pumpkin Smash. You will not be disappointed at all. So go out and try Crown Valley Brewing Imperial Pumpkin Smash for yourself! Cheers! Please enjoy responsibly!
