Ciao! Here we are with Birra Moretti L’autentica, 4.6% ABV, this is brewed in Udine, Italy and has been brewed since 1859. This is a lager style beer. L’autentica pours a bright golden clear color with a one and a half bright white head that is fizzy and quick to fade with really no retention. The aroma is slight sweet with a corn and biscuit note. Smells like a lager is supposed to smell. The taste on L’autentica is again slightly sweet with a nice clean crispness with a very faint sweet corn like flavor. The mouth feel is light with a nice smooth clean finish that leads into a nice semi-sweet clean refreshing after taste that linger just for a moment then fades away before the next sip. This is a highly rated Italian beer in the world of beer, and it lives up to that, it’s definitely an A. it goes down easy, smooth and is crisp and refreshing without any misses. I think that a lot of the foreign mass produced lagers are better than most of they’re American macro counterparts some are much better, where as some are just slightly better. This is more than slightly better than the America macro lagers, and no lager isn’t a bad word with me as some of you craft beer people think its. If you can brew a world-class lager then you are a great brewer. You can brew a bad stout and still have it taste okay, because you can hide all the imperfections behind the bold flavors of a stout. Birra Moretti L’autentica is a good beer and shows that Italians aren’t just good wine makers. Cheers! Please enjoy responsibly!
